DENVER -- Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill in Northfield has closed, but it will reopen as a similar country-themed space called the Cowboy Saloon.

Toby Keith’s was seized by the city of Denver for not paying some $70,000 in taxes.

The city held a public auction on Thursday to sell all of the contents inside the bar, including kitchen and bar equipment, seating and even the mechanical bull.

One man at the auction ended up buying it all for $125,000.

"We will be using a lot of things that was currently in the space for our concept Cowboy Saloon. Cowboys is an American bar and grill, country western themed entertainment space. So a lot of stuff that was in the former Toby Keith space does have value for us as cowboys,” Anthony Perera said.

Cowboys Saloon had already signed a lease on the building.

This will be its first location in Colorado, three others are already open across the nation.
