DENVER — Uber is teaming up with the Dumb Friends League to bring kittens-on-demand to the metro area for one day.

Users of the ride-sharing app can open the app and request kittens from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.

The kittens will be provided by the Dumb Friends League and chaperoned by a shelter representative and Uber representative at every stop.

The “snuggle fee” for 15 minutes of playtime with kittens is $30, which will support the Dumb Friends League Animal Shelter, according to Uber.

Open your Uber app between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

  • Request the “KITTENS” option in the app.
  • Once the kittens arrive, you and your friends will get to enjoy 15 minutes of kitten playtime.
  • Uber suggests users have an enclosed space prepared and make sure no one in the area is allergic.

The kittens are also eligible for adoption. The Dumb Friends League said it will waive adoption fees for all cats and kittens Thursday in honor of National Cat Day.
