CASTLE ROCK, Colo. -- Houdini may not be a magician, but boy can he disappear.

The horse vanished Thursday, devastating his 11-year-old owner Aspen Edge.

Local officials knew they had to get creative and asked Kerry Garrison to join the search.

Garrison owns Multicopter Warehouse, a drone store in Castle Rock. He didn't hesitate to help and launched his quad copter around 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

In about a half hour, the infrared camera detected Houdini's body heat where he was  trapped in some thick brush.

“It’s not often you can get a couple of big guys to tear up, but seeing the look in this girl’s eyes when she saw the horse and it was OK, I mean there's just nothing like that in the world,” Garrison said.
