Northglenn police find 9-year-old who didn’t make it to school

A 9-year-old boy was found in open space after not making it to school on time in Northglenn on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015.

NORTHGLENN, Colo. – Police found a 9-year-old boy after he didn’t make it to school Tuesday morning, the Northglenn Police Department said.

Police set up a command post and sent out reverse 911 calls after the boy didn’t make it to Leroy Drive Elementary School (1451 Leroy Drive) for classes.

Dispatch said the boy was found safe in open space and was being brought to the command post at the school.
