Police seeking alleged sexual assault suspect after 16th Street Mall attack

DENVER -- Police are looking for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman on the 16th Street Mall in Denver a few weeks ago.

The Denver Police Department said the reported assault occurred in the 500 block of 16th Street on Sept. 19.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male, about 5-foot-9 with a skinny build and short hair. He is presumed to be about 25 years old and possibly goes by the name of Frank, police said.

Police are asking if anyone can identify the man to call Crime Stoppers. It is one of a number of recent attacks reported on the 16th Street Mall.

Police said they're increasing the number of officers patrolling the mall to help keep visitors safe.
