Suspect in Aurora homicide arrested

AURORA, Colo. — A man identified as the suspect involved in a fatal shooting in Aurora was arrested Sunday, the Aurora Police Department said.

Lloyd Rickey Henderson, 36, turned himself in some time between Saturday night and Sunday morning, police said.

Henderson, who also goes by “Rickey,” was identified as the suspect in an altercation at 348 Potomac Way in Aurora last week.

Corey Clemons, 30, was fatally shot in a single gunshot wound to the chest. The manner of death was ruled to be homicide by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.

Police secured a warrant for first-degree murder for the arrest of Henderson and were asking the public’s help in finding him.  He was considered armed and dangerous.

Aurora police’s FAST Team arrested Henderson.

He is being held at the Arapahoe County Jail.
