Colorado Saddlery has been making production and custom saddles since 1945. The quality and craftsmanship was noticed by “The Duke”, actor John Wayne. He rode CO Saddlery saddles in real life. The same kind of saddle he rode in the classic 1969 film, True Grit. Over the years the location and ownership has changed but much of the staff have been there for decades. You can expect the same great product as you would’ve gotten 70 years ago. Colorado Saddlery saddles are constructed in Buena Vista, then shipped in their raw form to the headquarters in Golden where they are oiled and finished. They are made for the modern cowboy and trail rider. Aside from saddles, Colorado Saddlery offers 2700 other tack, gear and products for riding. For the last two years Colorado Saddlery has been located off I-70 and Colfax, you’ll notice the building with the plastic horse on top.
