Juveniles robbed near northeast Denver schools

DENVER — A robbery incident involving juveniles put four Denver Public Schools on lockdown for a short time on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened on East 29th Avenue and Williams Street.

Denver police said two juvenile victims were approached by four male suspects and some suspect may have been armed.

Some belongings were taken from victims, according to police reports.

One of the juveniles reportedly may have been injured.  The extent of the injuries were not released.

The Wyatt Academy Charter School, Manual High School, Harrington Elementary  School and Cole Middle School were placed on lockdown temporarily around 3 p.m.

No suspects were taken into custody. This incident remains under investigation.
