DENVER -- Forward: In anticipation of the Denver Broncos home opener at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Sunday, one cannot help but to observe a feeling of … Christmas. So, in the spirit of Orange Fever, we offer you this story: “T’was the Week Before Broncos”—by Dan Daru

T’was the week before Broncos and all you could see
was the color of orange, as bright as can be

The jerseys were hung on the racks with care
In anticipation of fans screaming into the air

The city was "decored" with orange up on high
With dreams of Broncos' touchdowns ‘neath Denver’s blue sky

The gridiron was prepared like a child’s warm bed
But one that a Raven will certainly dread

Food was prepared with a Raven in mind
A reception they will get, albeit not kind

And for dessert they will be small and be sweet
For victory this Sunday, the birds will be beat
