semitrailer rolled over eight miles west of Limon on Monday afternoon, closing all lanes of westbound Interstate 70 after high winds in the area prompted a tornado warning, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.
The semi overturned near mile marker 350 and shut down the interstate for an hour, Colorado State Patrol said.
Traffic eventually was able to get through one lane until all lanes were reopened shortly after 6 p.m.
Backups on I-70 at Limon slowly loosened throughout the rest of the evening.
The cause of the crash could be weather related, CSP said.
