Bear spotted up in tree in Broomfield, moved to safer location

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — A bear was found stuck in a tree in Broomfield on Monday morning.

This furry friend was spotted by a FOX31 Denver viewer hanging on a branch near the area of 136th Avenue and Main Street.

The bear was reported at just over 300 pounds, according to Parks and Wildlife officials.

They also determined he was a male and was approximately 10-years-old.

Parks and Wildlife officials rescued and trapped the male just after 11 a.m.  They planned to safely move him to another location.
