Pueblo Police investigate death of man with apparent stab wounds

PUEBLO, Colo. — Pueblo Police were investigating a homicide, after a man’s body was found inside a home on Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a home in the 1800 block of East 4th Street just after 6 a.m. after receiving a report of a disturbance, Pueblo Police reported.

When officers arrived, they found a man’s body who Pueblo Police said allegedly appeared to have been stabbed to death.

Following an investigation by detectives, authorities arrested 35-year-old, Jeffrey Sylvia in connection with the incident, according to Pueblo Police.  He could face charges of second degree murder.

Nearby roads in the city were close during the investigation.

The relationship between the suspect and the victim was not known.

The victim was not identified as of Thursday afternoon. This incident remains under investigation.

KRDO reported that this was Pueblo’s fifth homicide this year, so far.
