DENVER -- Not only is Denver a great place to live and play, it’s also a great place to work. Forbes magazine just rated the Mile High City the best place for business. Number one, top dog, king of the hill.

The Denver metro area, home to 2.8 million people, is attractive for it’s diverse economy, educated labor force and outdoor recreational activities, the main reasons for Denver’s top honor.

“And there are a few others, too” said the Distinguished Professor of Economics and Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver Kishore G. Kulkarni, Ph.D. "Like we are going to have a better train system and we’re going to have a better bus system, and the roads are excellent.”

No question about it, Denver has a good economy. “It is a great economy and it’s really blowing up. A new restaurant is opening up every few days it seems, it’s a really cool scene, especially in this neighborhood in Rhino.” Said Michael Davis who owns Mondo Market at The Source shopping center in Denver. “We can save shipping to the west coast or the east coast, it’s about the same cost. We have a fifty fifty diversification between both regions>” he said.

Other Colorado cities that made the list were Ft. Collins, Boulder, Greeley and Colorado Springs, respectively.
