DENVER -- When you think of traveling on the cheap, many often think of staying at a hostel. But, if you have ever made the move, you might have found the conditions a bit lacking.

Now, thanks to the vision of Chad Fish—who said he is a hostel veteran—the Mile High City is taking the backpackers' dream to an all new level.

“It’s odd that our new “poshtel” is located in an old historic building that had been condemned for more than 40 years,” said Chad Fish. “We have created a space for travelers that is affordable, clean and filled with things to get folks jazzed up on Denver.”

The hostel, named Hostel Fish, is located on 20th Street, just a foul ball from Coors Field.

Each of the rooms has its own theme, from maps to globes, to porno—the old building used to house a brothel, peep show, and porn shop. Local designers got a chance to put their touch on rooms and lounges in the upscale hostel. What they have come up with is nothing short of amazing.

“We decided to rent a whole room for a bachelorette weekend,” said Caroline Dane. “It was perfect for our adult slumber party!”

The beds rent for about $45 and if you are not into the bunk-bed thing, they even offer single rooms with king and queen-sized beds. There is also a balcony for smoking items you can buy at the cannabis shop next door, not that they encourage it but, what happens in Denver stays in Denver.

Fish says he is surprised how word of mouth and TV hits like this one are spreading the word so quickly about the new digs for backpackers in Denver.
