DENVER -- The Nuggets have traded troubled point guard Ty Lawson to the Houston Rockets.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Nuggets will receive Kostas Papanikolaou, Pablo Prigioni, Joey Dorsey, Nick Johnson and a protected 2016 first-round draft pick.  Houston will get Lawson and a 2017 second-round pick.

Lawson, 27, was arrested on DUI charges in Los Angeles on Tuesday and entered treatment for alcohol abuse Friday.  It was his second DUI arrest in six months after being stopped in Denver in January.

Lawson was taken in the first round (18th overall) of the 2009 NBA draft where he averaged 15.2 points and 9.6 assists.  He was given a four-year, $48 million dollar extension in 2012.

The move likely means rookie point guard Emmanuel Mudiay, the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft, will take over the starting job.

The trade call with the league office to finalize the Ty Lawson deal is set for Monday morning, sources tell Yahoo.
