Ten years ago, 3rd generation chocolatier, Michael Bortz opened City Bakery in North Denver as a wholesale artisan baker. Before long Michael, his general manager Caitlin Mandigo, and his hard working crew have been baking bread and pastries for over 150 Denver restaurants and coffee shops. City Bakery goods have become so popular Michael opened City Bakery Café off 8th and Lincoln as a place to not only sell sandwiches and salads, but a place for people who enjoy eating his goods at their favorite restaurants to come and buy more.  Michael also enjoys creating new recipes and creations at the café and seeing how they sell. City Bakery is ingrained in the Denver community, participating in dozens of charity events each year. And you can bet everything is fresh. All the breads and pastries are baked fresh daily. Nothing is carried over to the following day. Whatever doesn’t sell, is given away at the end of the day. More information at http://www.citybakerydenver.com/
