Vandals target mailboxes in Arvada

ARVADA, Colo. — It happened the night of July 2, late into the evening. Around 25-50 homes in Arvada were vandalized, specifically the mailboxes.

So far, Arvada Police have identified three neighborhoods hit by the mailbox marauders, the 8400 block of 81st Drive, the 7700 block of Reed Street, and around 74th Avenue and DeFrame Street. The 8200 block of Estes may have been hit as well.

Acting quickly on a tip, Arvada Police soon arrested three male suspects.

Arvada Police want an accurate tally of the damage to build their case. So far, the damage to property is around $1,000 and the crime is criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Arvada Police say take a bite out of crime and call them if you live in Arvada and your property was vandalized on Thursday night.
