DENVER — A new type of Oreo is about to appear on store shelves. Forget “Double Stuff,” the popular cookie is getting a slimmed-down look.

Oreo Thins will be introduced next week.

They look like they can’t really be split apart, and the maker of Oreos says that is in fact the case. Oreo Thins are a more sophisticated take on the sandwich cookie.

As for the name “thins,” don’t get too excited. There is 140 calories in three Oreo Thins compared to 160 calories in three regular Oreos.
