DENVER -- The three-day Western Conservative Summit will kick off Friday at the Colorado Convention Center with presidential contenders expected to speak.

The Summit has become the largest gathering of conservatives each summer. This is the sixth annual event.

There will be 20 speakers, including seven presidential contenders and other big conservative names.

Scheduled to speak are former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum. Other presidential candidates who are in Denver for the summit are Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina.

This year’s theme is “Your Story: Freedom Alive” and the summit is put on by the Centennial Institute, Colorado Christian University’s public policy think tank.

Tickets for the evening rally on Friday night and Saturday night are $25. For all other passes and tickets, would-be attendees need to come to the Convention Center and register in person.
