Free tests offered in Jefferson County on National HIV Testing Day

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Jefferson County Public Health is offering free HIV tests on Friday, which is National HIV Testing Day.

It’s estimated more than 1 million people in the U.S. are living with HIV, with 50,000 more added to the list every year.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said about 1 in 7 people who have the disease don’t even know it.
