Longmont road reopened after construction crew hit gas line

LONGMONT, Colo. — Work crews struck a gas line while at the Twin Peaks Mall construction site, the Longmont Police Department said Monday.

Northbound Hover Street at 95th Street was closed to Nelson Road.  Police said southbound Hover Street remained open.

Xcel Energy crews were on scene around 4:45 p.m.

The closure lasted about a half hour, officials said.
