EAST DUBUQUE, Ill. — Early Monday morning the Menominee-Dunleith fire station was destroyed in an Illinois wind storm, WQAD reported.
The roof collapsed on the building. Walls and doors came crashing down on vehicles inside the fire station.
Vehicles inside were also damaged, the community worried that a brand new fire truck may have been part of those crushed.
A high school on the west side of Iowa measured a wind speed of 93.9 miles per hour, according to WQAD.
Many other counties and buildings were damaged by the fast winds in this area.
No injuries have been reported.
