VALENCIA, Calif. — A  10-year-old girl who was airlifted from a Southern California amusement park after losing consciousness while riding a roller coaster has died, health officials said Monday.

The girl was riding the Revolution roller coaster at Magic Mountain and was unconscious but breathing when she returned to the station, KTLA reported.

Paramedics took the girl by helicopter to a local hospital. It’s not known if she lost consciousness because of the ride or a pre-existing condition.
