DENVER — Strong thunderstorms hit many places around metro Denver Monday evening. Small hail was reported from Lakewood to central Denver to the southwest part of the metro area.

The storms were expected to leave the region later Monday night.

Tuesday will start sunny but clouds will build during the afternoon.  The chance for rain is low, but not everybody will stay 100% dry.  The best time frame to see a shower or storm would be between 2 and 6 p.m.  Highs will warm into the low 70s.

Wednesday the chance for storms increases a bit, but the morning will still be dry.  Sunshine early will boost our highs into the mid 70s.

At this point Thursday looks to be a relatively dry day but cooler and showery weather will return for the end of the week.
