Body of young female found at bottom of cliff in Boulder

BOULDER, Colo. — Boulder Sheriff’s deputies investigated an unattended death of a young female near the 2500 block of Flagstaff Road.

The body was located in steep, rocky terrain at the base of a cliff estimated to be approximately 100 feet tall, Boulder’s Sgt. Jason Oehlkers reported.

Early Saturday morning, the process of the removing the body was deemed unsafe due to weather conditions. Just before 6 p.m. the recovery team finished bringing the woman’s body up from the Flagstaff cliff, Boulder County Sheriff said.

The incident was being investigated by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of a body.

Foul play was not suspected.
