COMMERCE CITY, Colo. -- A male suspect who cut a woman with a knife was tased and taken into custody at a 7 Eleven in Commerce City on Friday morning, according to police.

Officers originally responded to a disturbance call early Friday morning at a different location where a woman and the suspect got into a fight. Police found the woman with a very minor cut from the suspect.

The suspect fled and was apprehended by officers at the 7 Eleven at Highway 2 and East 72nd Avenue, where he resisted arrest, officials say.

Officials used a taser to subdue the suspect and bring him into custody.

The knife was left at the original location.

The 7 Eleven will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while the investigation continues.
