Suspect arrested in fatal Five Points shooting

A 66-year-old man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the Five Points neighborhood on Saturday, April 4, 2015.

DENVER — A 66-year-old man was arrested Sunday in connection with a fatal shooting in the Five Points neighborhood.

The shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.

One male was wounded during an apparent argument at an apartment complex near 26th and Welton streets. The victim, who has not been identified, died at the hospital.

Suspect Larry Roberts was arrested about 8:30 a.m. Sunday and is being held under investigation for first-degree murder, according to police.

Police say Roberts got into an argument with the man, then pulled his gun and shot him.
