Colorado Springs man eating at Red Lobster tells employees he was stabbed hours earlier

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado Springs Police Department is investigating an incident Tuesday night after a man eating at a Red Lobster restaurant asked the employees for help because he wasn’t feeling well and that he had been stabbed in the side earlier in the evening.

KRDO reported officers were called to the restaurant on North Academy Boulevard at 9:37 p.m.

James Vidmar, 39, told police he was stabbed near the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs just hours before coming in to eat.

Vidmar was taken to the hospital and is suffering from nonlife-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
