DENVER -- Denver police believe two men are still on the loose after attacking and robbing a 70-year-old woman at a Wal-Mart on Monday.

The victim said she had just cashed her federal tax refund check when one man tried to grab the cash out of an envelope. The suspect attacked the woman at the Wal-Mart at 7800 Smith Road near Quebec Street in broad daylight and with several other shoppers nearby.

"He reached over and was hitting me across the face, the jaw," said Elmenia Lampley, just hours after she left the hospital.

She reportedly lost at least $4,000 and was planning on using her refund check to take a family vacation to Ohio.

Denver police released two photos of the men believed to be involved in the attack. Police believe the victim was likely being watched inside the Wal-Mart and was followed out on purpose.

Anyone with any information about the attack is asked to call Denver police.
