Two multivehicle crashes cause traffic woes on westbound U.S. 36

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Two crashes caused a traffic nightmare on westbound U.S. 36 on Monday morning.

The first accident involved five vehicles and happened at Interlocken Loop. Traffic heading toward Boulder quickly backed up with only one lane of traffic getting by.

A second crash involved four vehicles on westbound U.S. 36  at Wadsworth Boulevard. There, too, only one lane of traffic was getting by.

The crashes caused huge delays from Interstate 25 into Boulder, with the drive taking more than 30 minutes.
