BATON ROUGE, La. — A Baton Rouge man was arrested Sunday after allegedly shooting his son in buttocks during an argument about who drank all the orange juice.

Eldridge Dukes, 58, and his 18-year-old son were fighting about the lack of orange juice in their refrigerator, The Advocate reported. The teen allegedly broke a porcelain vase, prompting his father to grab his .357 caliber handgun, police said.

Dukes allegedly chased the victim out of the house and down the street, firing at least three times. He hit the teen once in the buttocks, according  to reports. The teen was expected to recover.

The victim’s mother called police, and Dukes subsequently confessed to the shooting, police said.
