Jogger hit by 19-year-old driver in Loveland

LOVELAND, Colo. — Early Saturday morning, a pedestrian was hit by a car on the 3400 block of W 43rd St. in Loveland.

The victim, 32-year-old Ryan Priddy, was jogging in the bike lane when he was struck by a car, Sgt. Jameson Gartner from the Lakewood Police Department said.

The driver of the car, 19-year-old Marshall Warren, drifted over to the right side of the lane and hit Priddy from behind.

Priddy was taken to the hospital for injuries after being hit by Warren’s sedan.

Speed, alcohol or drug use was not suspected as a cause of the crash.

The eastbound lane of W. 43rd was diverted for about 2 hours while Technical Crash Investigation Team completed an investigation on the scene, according to Sgt. Gartner.

Police are not releasing more information at this time.
