SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Christian Grey is probably not the sort of guy who would mind an audience. But in one Sacramento neighborhood, thousands of people got an unexpected eyeful of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.

Huge screens showing the sexy blockbuster at the Sacramento 6 drive-in theater were clearly visible from busy Highway 50 over the weekend, prompting responses ranging from laughter to shock.

“I’d think it’s a safety issue; people trying to sneak a peek as they are going 70 mph," John Schmidt of Sacramento told FOX 40.

One set of parents who came to the drive-in to celebrate their son’s 10th birthday told the station they were not amused.

“We just drove in and these two were very interested watching it coming in,” the father said.

Fifty Shades of Grey is rated R for “strong sexual content, unusual behavior, and graphic nudity.”
