DENVER -- A Denver man who had his van stolen is desperately searching for his dog that was in the vehicle when it was swiped.

Scott Hills wrote in a Facebook post that his red Chevrolet Venture mini van was taken from the parking lot of Devon's Pub at East Hampden Avenue and Happy Canyon Road about 6 p.m. Jan. 11.

Hills went to warm up the vehicle and his dog, Arrow, was inside. He went back inside the pub as the Broncos' AFC Divisional round playoff game was wrapping up but when he returned, the vehicle -- and the dog -- were gone.

Hills says he only wants the dog back. He described Arrow as a female black and white wire haired Jack Russell mix, weighing about 8 pounds with a black ring around the base of her tail.

He has been frantically searching the area for the dog with no luck.

Anyone with information about the dog or the van can call Hills at 303-947-1761 or local police.
