PASCO COUNTY, Fla. —  A Florida daycare worker has been accused of intentionally kicking a little girl while she was napping, WFLA reported.

The 15-month-old girl was dropped off by her mother to Kids Stop and Play Daycare on Saturday morning, deputies said.

Surveillance video shows a woman kicking a toddler in the face, waking her up and she began crying.  After falling back asleep, you can see the same woman come back and kick the child’s bottom.

The woman seen in the video and was in charge of the children at the time, was identified as Linda Klem, 49.

“She’s worked here with me for four years and I never would have expected anything like this out of her and neither, I’ve talked to all my staff, I have 16 staff members and none of them would have expected it either,” said Rhonda Sweatland the owner of the day care.

Klem denied kicking the toddler in the head and couldn’t explain kicking her backside, WFLA reported

The mother of the little girl claimed that when she picked up her daughter after 6 six hours, she had bruises under her eye and on the side of her face.

Klem is being charged for child abuse and then released on $5,000 bond, according to WFLA.
