DENVER –- Passengers continue to be frustrated at Denver International Airport over a massive luggage delay that United Airlines is blaming on a new vendor, bad weather and holiday travel.

United says it’s working with the new subcontractor, Simplicity, and it is “working with the vendor to improve the customer experience.”

Fliers say instead of waiting just a few minutes, they have been stuck waiting hours for their bags to arrive. Piles of bags off the belts can be seen at the airport.

One passenger who waited more than two hours for his bag to come on a flight from Houston says it’s very frustrating for his family.

“I think they need to straighten this out,” the traveler said. “This is something that will definitely rethink flying with United again.

“This is the worst this has ever been.”

It’s unclear what United is doing and how fast it will resolve the problem, but with holiday travel over, the airline is hopeful the issues will get cleared up.
