GREELEY, Colo. — The mother of a 3-year-old girl who died in a mobile home fire and her boyfriend were released from the hospital and booked into the Weld County Jail on a charge of child abuse criminal negligence resulting in death.

Kristen Braig and Dustin Blanchard appeared in court Tuesday morning. Braig was bonded out and has an advisement hearing Feb. 3. Blanchard remained in custody and will have a video advisement on Thursday.

Greeley police said the 3-year-old girl, Lileigh Kellenaers, died in the fire late Saturday night after Braig and her live-in boyfriend Blanchard were allegedly away from the mobile home when the fire started.

Braig and Blanchard were injured after they returned home to find the home burning with Lileigh inside.
