CHICAGO —  After getting a call about a fight inside the Chicago Ridge mall on Saturday police responded shortly after 6 p.m.

“While en route, there was a report of shots fired, and a multi-jurisdictional response was called,” WGN-TV reported.

Police say there was a fight in the mall’s food court between a large group of teens.

Hours before schedules, Police closed the mall down at 7pm.

“Chicago Ridge Police and Chicago Ridge mall security determined that the mall should close to prevent any further entry into the mall by individuals in the original incident,” according to statement released by Chicago Ridge Police.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation is underway regarding the shots fired, WGN-TV reported.
