DENVER -- For the first time, the Rocky Mountain Fire Academy lets cameras in to see the training process.

With a very diverse recruitment class, they focus on teamwork and are required to always stick together.

The recruits learn pretty quickly that if one fails they all fail.  "The wheel" teaches them teamwork, if one of them makes a mistake they all pay the price.

On the training ground, they simulate a real house fire.

The video above only on FOX31, details a few of the tasks during this 17 week academy.
