You could get free parking from Denver’s ‘Parking Angels’

DENVER — “Parking Angels” from Denver Public Works’ will be giving away some holiday cheer for shoppers downtown this month.

Officers will give away 200 ParkSmart Denver parking cards  in the metered parking areas of downtown, which are worth $5 each.

The handouts started Thursday and will continue to Dec. 25.

Recipients will be asked to take a picture, which will be posted on the Denver Public Works’ social media sites on Twitter and Facebook.

The ParkSmart Denver cards can be used at any of the 6,000 Smart Meters through out the city.

Denver Public Works spokeswoman Nancy Kuhn said ParkSmart cards make a great holiday gift because, ‘Everyone loves free parking.’

ParkSmart Denver cards can be purchased at:

  • All metro area King Soopers stores at Customer Service Counter
  • Wellington Webb Building, 201 West Colfax Avenue, 1st and 2nd floor Cashier Counter
  • Wastewater Management, 2000 West 3rd Street, 1st floor Permit Counter
  • Downtown Denver Partnership, 511 16th St Ste 200
  • Both Tattered Cover locations
    • 2526 East Colfax Avenue at Elizabeth Street
    • 1628 16th Street at Wynkoop
