DENVER -- The busiest shopping day of the year is fast approaching, especially because Black Friday really starts Thanksgiving night.

The nation’s biggest retailer Walmart, will begin its holiday sales at 6 p.m. Thursday with a one-hour event that guarantees  nine of its most popular items will be available that day or by Christmas as long as you’re in line for the item you want.

Those include:

  • Beats by Dre Wireless Headphone Nearly half off at $179
  • 65-inch Vizio TV for $648
  • RCA 10-inch Tablet Wi-Fi with keyboard for $79
  • FitBit Flex for $69

At Best Buy, the deals include:

  • Apple Macbook Pro 15 at $899
  • Panasonic TV normally for $500 on sale for $200
  • 55-inch Samsung Curve TV for $1,400

Staples is offering the Asus Intel Laptop for $99.99 and K-Mart has the Samsung Galaxy Tablet for $150.

You can find discounted Apple products at Bust Buy, Target, Walmart and Sam’s Club.

Target is for the first time offering its gift cards at 10 percent off.

The hot toys are Legos and anything related to the Disney movie "Frozen."

Denver customer Jolynne Pearson plans to be one of the first in line Thursday night.  She was scouting deals early at a local Best Buy with pen and pad in hand.  “You know you got to have the whole deal on Thanksgiving and this is part of Thanksgiving, I think it`s called Thanks-shopping,” said Pearson.

Other shoppers like Melissa Alkhaibari said she’s still on the fence about shopping over the holiday weekend, “Whether or not I want to brave the masses, if I want to be out here with a lot of people.  It`s a little overwhelming .”

Some customers say there’s no way they’ll fight the crowds, no matter how good the deals are.  “No I`d rather not.  I`d rather get it now when there aren`t any people and not have to fight for it,” said a laughing Julie Reynoso.\
