BURLINGTON, N.C. — A North Carolina man used foam and a red Onesie to create an “Iron Man” costume for his prematurely born son to help his child “feel brave.” And a video of the costume-clad baby is going viral.

Baby Collier has been hospitalized since he was born in July. Eric Hart decided on the “Iron Man” Halloween costume while spending hours with his son in a neonatal intensive care unit.

“I came up with ‘Iron Man’ because he’s been hooked up to all those machines and wires, and that’s similar to what ‘Iron Man’ went through,” Hart told NBC. “There are a lot of times when the baby is sedated and you can’t interact, so this is something we could actually do and say, ‘We may not be normal right now, but this is our new normal.'”
