DENVER -- The severe cold in Denver has been an even more miserable experience for residents at one Denver apartment complex.

The Downing Square Apartments has many elderly and disabled residents and the heat in the building has been on and off several times since the cold snap arrived.

Some residents have resorted to turning on their ovens for heat.

One tenant we talked to says the building's owner should have made sure things were working before the cold weather arrived.

The owners just bought the building in September and said they were not aware of the heating problems at the time of purchase.

New parts that were ordered arrived Wednesday and the owner is confident the complex the building will stay warm now.
