ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- The cold weather is impacting at least two outdoor ceremonies that attract hundreds on Veterans Day.

With temperatures well below freezing, the annual ceremony at Fort Logan National Ceremony will be moved to the VFW Post on the 2600 block of West Hampden Ave.

Last year, about 500 people showed up to honor veterans and no jacket was needed then. The setup was underway at Fort Logan over the weekend, and chairs and tents were supposed to arrive early Tuesday morning. But for safety reasons, organizers moved the ceremony inside.

In Greeley, the ceremony at Bittersweet Park has been moved to the Island Grove Events Center (525 N. 15th Ave.). The event will still take place at 11 a.m.

The last time the ceremony at Fort Logan was moved indoors was in 2010.
