BROOMFIELD, Colo. — A bronze bust of John Denver went missing during a Halloween ball on Tuesday night at the 1st Bank Center.

It happened during KBPI-FM’s Saints and Sinners ball. The bronze bust was pried off its base inside the arena, and the station is asking whoever took it to return it unharmed to the station, no questions asked.

On its Facebook page, 1st Bank Center says the statue belongs to the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. It was donated by the late singer’s family after he became the first inductee in 2011.

Colorado Music Hall of Fame director G. Brown says people usually rub the head as they enter the venue for concerts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Broomfield Police Department. The bust can be returned to the KBPI studios at 4695 S. Monaco St.
