James Holmes

DENVER — There could be yet another delay in the trial of the man accused in the Aurora theater shooting.

The trial is currently scheduled to begin December 8.

Earlier this week, defense attorneys for James Holmes filed a motion asking for the delay, saying the second sanity evaluation had just come in and they needed more time to review it.

Wednesday, prosecutors responded that they did not object to a brief delay, say until January.  The judge has not yet made a ruling on the request.
