DENVER — A man on trial this week on charges of kidnapping, attempted sexual assault and third-degree assault failed to show up at his trial Tuesday in Denver District Court, police said.

Clifton Williams, 40, was accused of kidnapping and attacking a woman in 2011, and was free on $60,000 bond.

His trial, which started last week, continued into this week.  He failed to return to the courtroom after the lunch break Tuesday.

A warrant has been issued for Williams. He is described as a white male standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.

Anyone with information was asked to call police.
