When you think of a recovering cancer patient you might think fragile and weak. But nothing could be further from the truth for Sandra Gessert who has been part of the exercise program at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. It is the first institute of its kind in the nation where scientists are studying the effects of exercise on cancer recovery.
