CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A car traveling at a high rate of speed went airborne and flew into the trees in Centennial Monday night.

The crash happened at East Arapahoe Road and South University Boulevard.

Witnesses say the car was going extremely fast just before the driver lost control and ended up in the trees. The car itself was suspended in the trees, and not just sitting on the ground.

Emergency crews took the driver to the hospital. There was no information released Monday night about how severe the driver’s injuries were.
