KENNER, La. — Two female high school English teachers in Louisiana are facing felony charges for an alleged sexual relationship with a then-16-year-old male student, WGNO reports.

Police say Shelley Dufresne, 32, and Rachel Respess, 24, met with a student from their school after a football game, and the three went to Respress’ home to engage in sex acts.

Authorities say the student is now a 17-year-old junior but was 16 when the alleged relationships began.  Former students told police the three have met for sex multiple times and have videotaped the encounters.

Dufresne is the unnamed student’s current teacher, and Resess was his English teacher last school year.

The women are facing felony charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

According to Dufresne’s school profile, she is a Louisiana State University and Destrehan High alum. She is in her 10th year at the school, is married with three young children and is the daughter of St. Charles Parish Judge Emile St. Pierre.

Respess’ profile says she is in her second year teaching at the school and is an alum, graduating in 2008.

“Nothing surprises me anymore really, but I do believe it’s lack of a better judgment,” Kenner Police Chief Michael Glaser said. “They should have known better.”

How stupid can people be these days? Throw away your kids, husband, career, reputation, and freedom for a minor? The sad part is they’ll probably end up selling the videos to some internet site for big money or someone will pay them to film it again when he hits 18 or something.
